Blak Bear Surf Team Hits the U.S. Open, Chases Global Swells, and Scores in Mexico
The Blak Bear Surf Team made its debut at the U.S. Open of Surfing, complete with autograph signings and an epic Snapt 5 movie premiere that went off in style. From there, the crew scattered across the globe chasing swells. Balaram Stack barely made it in time for his heat at the Padang Cup, while Billy Kemper suffered a brutal setback after taking a surfboard through his leg. The Chandler Brothers got denied entry to Tahiti, but Blak Bear turned it around, taking them down to Mexico for their first long runs on the point breaks. Summer is in full swing, and the team is just getting started.
